Bank of America Corp. and Wells Fargo & Co. said that a number of employees of banks based in Charlotte has been on board a U.S. plane Airways that crashed in New York, the Hudson River.
Wells Fargo spokeswoman Mary Eshete said Thursday that three employees were in the U.S. Airways flight 1549, and all are safe.
At Bank of America spokeswoman Nicole Nastacie said the nation’s largest bank to confirm the location of their employees and work with the relevant authorities for more information.
Authorities said the flight to Charlotte crashed after colliding with a bird. Rescuers withdrew more than 150 passengers and crew of the boats in front of the plane sank.
